This Song here and "Air Supply - Making Love Out Of Nothing At All" are epic tracks, thank you Jim Steinman. R.I.P! Комментарий от : @dama3509 |

I love this Finale. I reminds me of the classic Western movies where the hero walks off into the Sunset. I love this movie! Excellent music too! Комментарий от : @cb_2887 |
I was only 8 when this was released. It took maybe 3 or 4 years before i saw it in TV. I can not explain but somehow this movie stayed in my memory for life and i've seen thousands of movies. It is great to see that this turned out to be a cult movie. Комментарий от : @Monstrinho35 |
This was one of the very best movies I have ever seen in my life. The cinematography, the music, the story it was incredible to watch as a teenager and yes it was a completely under-rated film. Amazing. Комментарий от : @user-gq9xh2pj4j |

this movie was Brilliant !! and that song,,, that song will live forever! Комментарий от : @backgammon1100 |
I would love to do a modern remake of this film starring Ryan Gosling and Lady Gaga. I would make it a lot grittier with a more 80’s aesthetic and production design. Bloodier. More violent. But a similar heart. Комментарий от : @TheConstructiveCritic888 |
I know this was intended as a trilogy but this ending is just perfect. 💯💯💯 Комментарий от : @holos1345 |
First watched this film back in 1984 and it remains one of my favorite films. My wife borrowed it from blockbuster s and I pretended not to have seenit, but I think singing along to all the songs and knowing most of the dialogue have it away. Brilliant film superb sound track. I saw this at a drive in double feature with Purple Rain, didn't even know it existed because i never saw a trailer and went home a fan for life. Комментарий от : @YuriTadid |
I was listening to this on Spotify just a short while ago and realized I haven't seen this movie in 15 somewhat years. I gotta dig out my copy and watch. 😁 Комментарий от : @C_Holloway |
You'll note that when Cody walks out, Ellen pauses briefly to choke back her reaction to him walking out before returning to the song. And the pause is when the line is "Stop your crying hold on - tonight." Комментарий от : @user-qf3mf8mv9q |
It took me years to see the complete movie. It was on tv and saw the middle one year, the end and then the beginning. Each time I had to leave for work. When it came out on DVD I ran bought it. It was awesome!!! Was always sad they didn’t get to be together but later on in life I realized in order for Tom to be with her he had to be someone else and that wasn’t going to work for either of them. But as he said, if she needed him, he would be there for her. Awesome. Комментарий от : @jce1116 |

This is by far one the most underrated and unseen jewels of the 80’s. I feel Tom’s bittersweet pain as he says goodbye but “ He’ll be there “. I feel the same way towards my ex wife. Our marriage just wasn’t in our stars yet I will always have a special place in my heart for her. I would also love to see this on Broadway if someone has the balls to attempt it. This movie is one of my favorites, not for execution. The story is good, but the direction is weak, with weird pauses in dialogue, but for the feels, this movie nails it. This movie EXISTS! The world of Streets of Fire is real, somewhere out there in some alternate universe, this world exists. It feels real. This is a beautiful film, both stylistically and musically, and I love just getting lost in that. It's an underrated classic from when Hollywood took risks that sometimes paid off and sometimes didn't, but always made something unique and interesting. This movie should be seen for what it is, wonderfully, beautifully, original and yes, enthralling. Комментарий от : @jongoff7829 |

Out of curiosity I went on Google to search for each character’s mbti. I was a little surprised though by the ending because it turns out Cody has the Hephaestus personality type, Ellen is the Aphrodite personality type, McCoy has the Athena personality type. That’s why I was like wondering of the why Cody and Ellen didn’t stay together. I thought that maybe it is because of the same reason Aphrodite didn’t love Hephaestus and him looking for the love in Athena, that didn’t end so well. But it makes sense that Ellen wanted more like a though guy who would stay by her side no matter what even if she chose a signing career. Cody didn’t want that, so he went his own way in his pursuit of his own happiness but with McCoy who like Athena, saw Hephaestus more like a brother/friend rather than something else. Yet, it makes it a bit of a romantic triangle. It’s just a theory, but I was thinking of it a lot 😂. Комментарий от : @12Lanye |

The choreography of this final scene, and I'm not just talking about the excellent stage performance, but the entire scene from the start of the song thru the fadeaway shot & rolling credits, is legendary. Комментарий от : @clubmogambo3214 |

I was a young soldier when this was released, and I just loved it. I used to train to the soundtrack with my Walkman. The film is very 80’s but certain scenes are just so well shot and edited. When she starts this song and slowly lifts the mike to her mouth………and then that angelic voice breaks out….sends shivers through me every time. I have always said that every line of a Jim Steinman song paints a picture……”I’ve got a dream about an angel on a beach and the perfect waves are starting to come.” I can see him in my head and then she goes on……”his hair is flying out in ribbons of gold”……OMG how do people live without Steinman in their lives! So many memories, I had recently had my heart broken (you know the first time that happens to you and you think your world has ended). Diane Lane in this film so reminds me of her, she is so beautiful but with a sexy vulnerability that just melts me every time. I am now a Gothic Fantasy Author (G E Webb The Blood Princess) and whenever i need inspiration I simply listen to Steinman. RIP the legend that is Steinman! Комментарий от : @geoffwebb8415 |
This movie is a 1980's masterpiece and set the blueprint for 80's music videos, TV, everything. I'd rather see this type of ambition in art and music than safe, bland, dull, commercially critically acceptable genres today. I wore black silk gloves in my music video because of this movie. There's a couple of very good video clips of this song out there, skillfully using footage from the movie. That being said, nothing can beat the original movie editing. Not even close. How could it be otherwise? It's a feature length movie conclusion. And If we're just talking about the technical aspect of this scene, the conclusion remains the same. Nothing comes close to it. This movie was my bisexual awakening. I fell in love with Diane Lane and Michael Pare and this song has been playing nonstop in my head for almost 35 years. Its such a bop and its the best original song for a movie in my eyes. Also, can we just appreciate how badass Amy Madigans character, McCoy, is? Shes so believable as a soldier for hire and she really sells that she can kick some ass and wont think twice to fill you with bullets! Комментарий от : @rogerdodger1984 |

The 80s..... A Rock n Roll Fable....with real coolness, a classic Hero, a Princess, and a Hero s real Partner. AND Great Emotions. Michael Pare, Diane Lane, Jim Steinman ! , Walter Hill....we lived with you-we will die with you. But its ok. All what comes later is "Rap", the Kardashians and ...whatever. THAT Music is my way....i ve grown up with it....lived with it....and I'm willing to die with it. Thank you... Actors and Singers. I am Ready to walk to the end of the Road. And that's my Soundtrack on the Road.... Комментарий от : @momo-bp2og |

The maturity of Diane Lane at eighteen years old is frighteningly impressive, as is her talent as an actress. Too bad she didn't go further.
It's an even bigger pity that Streets of Fire didn't have a sequel so that Ellen's romance with Tom had a happy ending. Комментарий от : @williamberkowitz9388 |

I haven't heard this gem in decades...Saw the Streets Of Fire movie at an advance screening in Los Angeles in 1984 and really loved all the songs, especially this one. A perfect companion piece to another epic song sung by Meatloaf called I Would Do Anything for Love.....And by the way, Diane Lane is at her very hottest Комментарий от : @djdelugach2402 |

I still remember the ending part was a sad one... he knew that he and the girl were from different world, and he finally chose to leave the girl... I think this is another way to express true love, not for money, not for sex, after all that he had done for the girl. Perhaps this is what we called a real 'Hero'. Комментарий от : @gaminggenes320 |
As a kid growing up and seeing this I wanted a sequel so bad, but really they left it perfectly. Cody and McCoy driving off to some unknown adventures…maybe coming back, maybe not. Don’t ruin it with a sequel or a remake!!! Комментарий от : @Kitchdmn3 |

I don't remember what movie I went to see when I first saw the trailer for "Streets of Fire" (you know the one.." Coming soon to a theater near you")...I asked my mom if we could go see it..we both enjoy musicals...she said she would think about it..I was still young-ish...and she was concerned about some of the scenes...we did finally see it and I really enjoyed it...probably more than mom..I think she felt the subject matter was a little too mature for me in some scenes...but I didn't really pick up on some stuff anyway because at the time, I only cared about the music... 😁 Комментарий от : @laraschauble |

ahhh the early days of cable / HBO. watched this film many times. could have been better ? ...maybe. but i liked it even for all the negative criticism it recieved. but cmon it was the 80s. the heyday of so much great movies tv music. what i like most was fictional time. its like the 50s mixed with the 30s and 80s. very bizarre but seemed like it could had been a different reality in a parallel universe.
