 | In 2021, I blind tested both the 50 and the 30 and over several types of music and at different levels, I found that they had a different sound from each other. It seemed to me that the 50 had more bass presence and a more dynamic sound than the 30. In every test I did, I picked the 50 as the sound I liked better. I also thought that the 50 ear pads were softer and more pliable compared to the 30 ear pads. To me, they are not the same.  | the 50's are pro tuned, meaning they have matched drivers (resistance, DB's) but that said, I got me a pair off Amazon (pro 30) for $20 "used" (box damage), and I highly doubt Id hear the difference myself due to my age, and constant ringing in my ears :P but yes, they may have the same drivers, but one is tuned, the other is not, and thats what you are paying for, for having matched drivers will give you much more detail in the music or what have you. UPDATE: Tried both and returned them for JBL Tune 710BT which ended up sounding better than both of them combined lol.  | LOVED the video. Came here because wasting way too much time trying to figure out whether to buy 50 or 30. Despite what anyone says about how they may sound different when you switch types of music (and I do not doubt that this may be true, I haven't bought either yet and can't compare), I CAN guarantee that people are getting fooled because they READ that there is a difference and they are convinced that it must be true. FACT: they HAVE actually changed how they describe each model. At one point the 30's were described as the more bass-heavy ones and the 50's were balanced, but now (3/26/22) the 50's are "dynamic bass" and the 30's are "balanced". Are they perhaps tuned differently? Definitely possible, though they have the same driver. BUT if they are tuning them differently and their descriptions are accurate, they are actually switching the tuning between models and the 50's you buy at one point may sound like the 30's you bought last year. I tend to believe that it is 100% marketing and they are switching things up on the fly - DEFINITELY with the wording, slightly possibly with the actual tuning. This video showing the name changes of the brand and the website ACTUALLY changing/swapping their descriptions is proof that they ARE doing some things that are nothing more than marketing. And I don't know why they are doing this - these are GREAT headphones! I currently have the Pro-10's and they have been rockin' for almost 3 years without ANY issues, they just need about a 1/2 inch more stretch for my big head. The OOOOONLY reason I might get 50's vs 30's (I need another pair so I won't have to keep unplugging from home to use these at church when I play bass guitar and I want to try the upgraded ear cushions) is because I actually don't like the brown color. And this is coming from a cheapo - I would actually spend $14 more for black headphones (with potentially marginally better sound quality - on the right song and if they haven't switched things up before I click "BUY") rather than wear ugly headphones. At home where no one sees you? Poop-brown 30's ALL DAY LONG or even Pro 10's. I had to use another pair that the music director loaned me when I left mine at home one weekend. He had tested the other headphones (forget the brand) and said they were great - they were absolute junk compared to the OneOdio Pro 10's. Thanks so much for the video!!!  | The brown ones are amazing! That said, even if they have the same driver, they may be tuned differently. I'd be shocked if the 50's sound better because the 30's are some of the best sounding headphones I've ever heard, and I've tried several! But one might appreciate the sound signature more than the other. You'd probably be splitting hairs with that, though. Just buy the Studio 30s. I don't think you'll be disappointed.  | I'd bought the 30 Pro the brown version initially but when I heard their sound, I didn't like it and it looked muddy though i loved their cushions which are super soft compared to my AT m-50x which BTW sounds amazing. Then I returned and bought the 50 Pro which I liked for their sound and seemed better. On cushion front, 50 Pro look better and are marginally more comfortable than a 30 Pro. On the sound quality, One Odio 50 Pro don't sound as clear or refined as m-50x but they sound nice and good for the price - in fact much better than their price range. If you have not heard an m-50x before, you'll not know the difference in quality.  | Their product stack is a mess. As far as I can tell they have two different drivers, a 40mm and a 50mm. The models are just 40mm or 50mm, and variations on colours and accessories, maybe earpad quality according to them. 50mm wireless (y80b) have a bigger battery than 40mm wireless (a71.). A70/a7 seem to be 40mm wired, pro-10/pro-30/pro-50 are 50mm wired. If this was an expensive company, maybe they'd do more different things for their models, but this is cheap Chinese stuff, so they're going to simply their supply chain and reuse parts as much as possible. Probably just look for 50mm with whatever accessories you need. A variant of their gaming headset also has a fixed chord and mic opposite the chord. Not everyone can afford a set of Focal Clears, Sennheiser HD600/660, Beywrdynamic T1s or anything high end. I have a few pairs of sub $100 cans that sound really, REALLY good! If you’re looking for a set of really good, audiophile grade headphones, I suggest the Samson SR850, Philips SHP9500/9600, Philips Fidelio X2HR or Sony MDR7506. They’re all great, usually sub $100 and can be paired with your phone (although you would be better hooking them up to a Fiio or Audioquest portable DAC/AMP) and will sound great.
